There Are 2 Field Camp Openings Left For This Summer!

Apply quickly! The SRSU 2013 Field Geology course will start and end at the Alpine campus in the Davis Mountains of West Texas.  The course departs Alpine for a 3.5-week-long driving loop through northern New Mexico from the Guadalupe Mountains to Taos to the Jemez Mountains; and wraps up with a loop and field exercise in Big Bend National Park. AAPG Student Chapter

At this time the club is working to start an American Association of Petroleum Geologists student chapter. In order to do so we need at least 9 student members, 1 faculty advisor, and 1 professional society sponsor. Student-wise we have 4 people that are active members and have provided their membership numbers.

If you are not already a member and would like to become one, visit the Organizations page for the application link. Also on that page you can read more about the benefits of becoming a member and starting a student chapter. To submit your membership number, just send it in under the Questions/Comments section or email Rebecca Loos at rloos@sulross.edu. Let's get this started!
