Looking for Martians at the South Pole: The Search for Meteorites from Mars in Antarctica by Dr. Julius Dasch -- November 8, 2012
Thanks to everyone who made it out to Dr. Dasch's last talk at Sul Ross State University! If you weren't there, you missed some great information and some great jokes! Unfortunately, there aren't that many pictures of this event, and the video didn't quite work out. However, you will get the chance to read a few of the jokes and comments mentioned during the presentation.
"If you had a bathtub big enough you could float Saturn, but it might leave a ring."
"Of course, if something falls out of the sky, people like to name it after Gods or pray to it."
"You find meteorites just like Easter eggs in blue ice!"
"...the Antarctic summer. Which lasts about 30 minutes."
"If it happened, it must be possible!"
Thanks especially to Dr. Dasch for giving this talk and for his support to the Geology club. We will miss you!
